If you’re designing your own artwork in Canva or InDesign, you’ll see an option for “bleed” — and it’s not as scary as it sounds.

🩸 What is Bleed?

Bleed is the extra space around your design (usually 3mm) that ensures there are no white edges after your print is trimmed.

Without bleed, you risk:

  • White borders on coloured backgrounds
  • Cropped text or logos
  • Uneven results

How to Add It:

  • In Canva: File → Show Print Bleed
  • Export as PDF Print → Tick “Crop marks & bleed”

At Replica Print, we always check bleed before sending anything to print — but designing it correctly from the start saves time and gives a better result.
